Keep NEXUS Active in Browser

Some browsers have power-saving settings that may cause NEXUS to disconnect when left open in the background. You can resolve this issue by adjusting your browser settings to keep tabs active.

The steps below show examples for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. If you use a different browser, look for similar settings that prevent sites from being put to sleep or allow tabs to stay active.

Example: Microsoft Edge

  1. Open the browser settings (click Settings under the three dots in the top right corner).

  2. Navigate to System and performance ‣ Performance ‣ General ‣ Always keep these sites active.

  3. Click Add site.

  4. In your NEXUS session, check the address bar and copy the base URL (the first part of the address, for example, https://app.nexusic.com or https://app-uks.nexusic.com).

  5. Paste the URL and click Add.

Example: Google Chrome

  1. Open the browser settings (click Settings under the three dots in the top right corner).

  2. Navigate to Performance ‣ General ‣ Always keep these sites active.

  3. Click Add.

  4. In your NEXUS session, check the address bar and copy the base URL (the first part of the address, for example, https://app.nexusic.com or https://app-uks.nexusic.com).

  5. Paste the URL and click Add.

Note

Modifying these settings may result in increased power consumption and could prevent screensaver activation.
