Launch Tasks

Launching a task opens the relevant event form, allowing you to record inspection or maintenance data against the task. The event form that is launched depends on the event type associated with the task.

When the event details are completed and saved, an event record is created and linked to the task. The task is then automatically marked as complete.

To launch a task:

  1. Open the Tasks tab from any supported location such as the PLANNING screen, the WORKPACKS screen, when editing tasks in supported dashboards or when editing anomaly actions linked to tasks.

  2. Select one or more tasks (multi-select is supported) and choose Launch from the toolbar.

  3. In the dialog that opens, enter the required details in the event form.

    Note

    The Start Clock and End Clock fields are not populated automatically. You must enter these values manually on the Survey tab.

  4. Click OK.

    Result

    • If you have selected multiple tasks, the event forms are presented one after another, allowing you to complete each task in turn.

    • Event records are created and linked to each launched task.

    • Event numbers are assigned automatically for each event type by incrementing the highest existing number.

    • Each task is marked as complete.


Note

Only incomplete tasks can be launched.
