Add/Edit Multimedia Dialog

The Add/Edit Multimedia dialog appears when you create or edit a multimedia image for an event on the INSPECTION screen or you edit a multimedia image on the ANOMALIES screen (see Multimedia (INSPECTIONS) or Multimedia (ANOMALIES)).

See below for the description of fields in the Add/Edit Multimedia dialog:

Field/Checkbox Name

Description

Name

A name that uniquely identifies the multimedia file.

Can Report

Adds or removes a flag for the file, which can be used to include or exclude the multimedia file from reports when configuring report templates. You can add the Can Report column to the Multimedia pane under Customise ‣ Columns.

Image

Allows you to upload or manage the multimedia file in one of the following ways:

  • Import - Uploads the file into the NEXUS IC database or replaces an existing one.

  • Link - Links to a file on a mapped drive. A copy of the file is stored in the NEXUS database and updated when the file changes.

  • Export - Saves the file to a folder location of your choice.

  • Launch - Opens the file in the default Windows viewer.

  • Copy - Copies the file to the clipboard.

  • Clear - Removes the file attachment from the event record.

If you add a file using drag and drop, it is automatically imported (not linked).

Source

Indicates the platform from which the multimedia file originated. If uploaded using IC-Inspector, this field is auto-filled (for example, iOS, Android, Windows). Otherwise, you can enter a source manually (for example, NEXUS IC).
