Anomalies
Anomalies are records that identify discrete items or areas of concern. An anomaly may originate from an inspection item (in which case it will have an associated finding), or it may be created as an ad‑hoc record within the integrity and inspection cycle.
You can access anomalies from the ANOMALIES screen or from the Anomalies tab on the ASSETS screen. The functions available on the Anomalies tab are largely the same as those on the ANOMALIES screen (see ANOMALIES Screen). The main differences are:
The ASSETS screen displays only anomalies that belong to the selected asset in the asset tree, or to the selected asset and its children if the Child Assets toolbar option is active.
On the ASSETS screen, only the list of anomaly records is shown and the Actions, Findings and Library tabs (visible at the bottom of the ANOMALIES screen) are not displayed. However, when you create or edit an anomaly from the Anomalies tab, these tabs are available within the Add/Edit Anomaly dialog so you can work with related records as required.
To close an anomaly, the menu path differs: on the ASSETS screen, you choose from the toolbar, on the ANOMALIES screen, you choose .
The Anomalies tab on the ASSETS screen also includes a View toolbar button. You can use it to show or hide the Multimedia pane and the Risk Chart pane. When the Risk Chart pane is visible, the Show Count option toggles the display of anomaly count values on the Anomalies Risk Matrix.
The visibility of the Anomalies tab itself can be toggled on or off under the View option in the main toolbar.
For detailed information about the anomalies functionality, see Anomaly Management.
