Known Issues

This section lists known issues and limitations that may affect the behaviour of NEXUS applications. Where possible, workarounds or recommended actions are provided. Items are updated as issues are identified, investigated or resolved.

Video Playback

The playback quality of high-definition video files from Azure Blob Storage may occasionally be sub-optimal, resulting in pixelation or jerkiness. For best results, use IC-Web, where video quality is displayed as recorded.

High DPI Displays

NEXUS may appear scaled incorrectly on high DPI displays. To resolve this:

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+End and sign out of the NEXUS application.

  2. Go to the desktop.

  3. Right-click and select Display Settings.

  4. Set the scale to 100% for all displays.

  5. Select a resolution that works with scaling set to 100%.

  6. Close Settings.

  7. Reboot the machine (required).

Reports (Hosted Clients Only)

Reports may display Date fields in an unexpected format. As a workaround, pass the Date field into a function that forces formatting to the required output.

Library – Sorting by Connected To

Sorting by the Connected To column on large grids (more than ~500 rows) may take a long time. The Cancel button does not stop the sorting operation once started.

Recommendations:
  • Hide the Connected To column if possible.

  • Avoid sorting by this column unless required.

  • If sorting is necessary, allow the sort to finish (may take up to 30 minutes), then immediately sort by another column (for example, Name, Doc Ref, Doc Date).

Warning: If you do not sort by another column afterwards, the sort order is saved. You will then experience the same delay when reopening the LIBRARY screen.

Electronic Corrosion Engineer (ECE) is not supported in the 64‑bit version of NEXUS IC.

NEXUS IC, IC-Inspection and IC-Recorder do not fully support the Windows Dark mode colour setting.

Copy and Paste (SaaS only)

To copy and paste data from NEXUS to other applications, the browser clipboard must be enabled. Some browsers prompt for permission, but others (such as Safari) block clipboard access by default. If required, disable content blockers for the NEXUS application in your browser settings.

4K and 5K Monitors (SaaS only)

On very high-resolution monitors at maximum display settings, the application window may not fill the browser window completely.

Application Window Resizing (SaaS only)

After maximising the application window, the application may appear cropped within the browser. Click Restore Down, then maximise again, or manually resize the browser window to force the application to redraw correctly.

SVG Grey Scale

When viewing SVG images in Grey Scale mode, the background may appear solid black, making black image elements difficult to see.

3D DWG Drawings

Some 3D drawings originally created in SESAM GeniE and converted to DWG may not display. This is due to limitations in the third‑party 3D DWG viewer and may indicate non‑standard DWG formatting.

2D DWG Hovering

Hover highlighting does not work for 2D DWG files. When hovering over a region, the opacity does not change as it does for JPG or PDF drawings.
