Configure Planning Data

When you choose Configuration ‣ Planning from the main menu of NEXUS IC, you can configure functions related to planning tasks or workpacks as described below.

Cost Codes

Define the list of cost codes that workpacks can be allocated to. When you edit a workpack on the WORKPACKS screen, the Cost Code field allows you to select from the values configured here.

Cost code allocation can be useful when integrating with an external Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Schedule Types

You can optionally define a list of schedule types that can be assigned to planning tasks for grouping, filtering or reporting purposes.

Task Categories

Set up task categories to group tasks. If your database contains multiple types of data (for example, above-water and below-water inspections), you can create categories such as Above water, Below water, ROV, or Diver.

Task Status

Define a list of statuses that can be assigned to tasks for user‑defined categorisation. For example, statuses may indicate why a task could not be completed, such as item inaccessible, item non-existent or duplicate task.

Workpack Groups

Create workpack groups to organise workpacks for filtering, searching or reporting. You can assign groups to individual workpacks on the WORKPACKS Screen.

Workpack Revisions

Define revisions that indicate the stage a workpack is in (for example, Planning or Completed). In this dialog, you can also:

  • Assign a number to a specific workpack revision (Level field).

  • Assign a colour to a specific workpack revision (useful when configuring chart or report templates).

  • Set all workpacks with a given revision to read-only.

  • Indicate whether you want the workpack with the specific revision to be updated by planning template changes.

By default, the grid on the WORKPACKS Screen is grouped by Revision.
