User Management
When using Software as a Service (SaaS), user management tasks can be handled either by your company’s administrative personnel or by Wood, depending on the terms of the service agreement.
User management tasks may involve changing security permissions or assigning licenses.
Prerequisites
Before being able to change security permissions or assign licenses, ensure the user has logged in with their company credentials at least once and launched any of the applications.
Change Security Permissions
When users log in and launch an application for the first time, default security permissions are assigned to their user account. Administrators can manually change the user’s security group and permissions at any time within NEXUS IC as described in Set Up Permissions for User/User Group.
License Management
Users are assigned a license in either of the following ways:
If a spare NEXUS named-user license is available, it will be automatically assigned to the new user when the user first logs in and launches an application.
If no spare licenses are available, administrators can reassign licenses from the available pool within NEXUS IC (see Software Based Licensing).
