Configure Risk Scenarios

Under Configuration ‣ Assets ‣ Risk Scenarios, you can define the risk scenarios available for use in risk assessments.

Risk scenarios allow you to compare the results of the same risk model under different conditions or assumptions. For example, scenarios might represent different consequence types, operating conditions or risk cases.

When creating a scenario from a risk assessment (see Manage Risk Assessment Scenarios), users can select from these predefined scenarios or create new ones as required.

Create a Risk Scenario

To create a risk scenario:

  1. On the Risk Scenarios screen (Configuration ‣ Assets ‣ Risk Scenarios), click Add in the toolbar.

  2. In the Add Scenario dialog:

    • Enter a name for the scenario.

    • Select a colour. The selected colour is used to display the scenario in the risk matrix.

    • Optionally, specify a category. Scenario categories can be used to organise related scenarios.

  3. Click OK.

Manage Risk Scenarios

After creating a risk scenario, you can use the standard toolbar functions to manage risk scenarios, including modifying, deleting, importing or exporting records.

For more information about standard toolbar functions, see Using the Grid.
